Main thing, you need to format the drive to MBR! So that means you'll have to patch the installer with the MBR patch otherwise you won't be able to select the drive during install.

I was able to install El Capitan and Sierra but not without issues. I got curious and decided to give El Capitan and Sierra a try.
Using the VoodooPS2Controller KEXT as it's less buggy for me (although multitouch and such don't work at all sadly.).
EDIT: Tested the Port Limit Patch and the port still doesn't work sadly. Remaining issues are hotkeys, graphical glitches, thunderbolt and the SD Card reader. I'm really surprised, I just plugged in and it worked flawlessly, both with HDMI and DisplayPort adapters! Somehow the USB-C port doesn't work as a normal port with an OTG adapter, may be a port limit issue. Reboot, Shutdown & Power Management seem to be working flawlessly! Sleep takes 20 seconds but that seems normal.

I have blanked out the fields as I don't want my serial number to be blacklisted, there are plenty of guides online on how to solve this. Facetime + iMessage should work when the correct information is entered into ist.ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext is more feature filled but I found it to be less usable, VoodooPS2Controller.kext should always work, albeit missing multitouch and other fancy features.

Multiple PS2 drivers (for the keyboard and touchpad) are available. Also, remove any patches relating to AirPortBrcm4360 and IOBluetoothFamily in ist. If you do not have the DW1560 WiFi Card, remove BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext, BrcmPatchRAM2.kext, FakePCIID.kext, FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext and SSDT-ARPT-RP06-4352.aml.
